Jacob Rangel

Jacob Rangel is a singer-songwriter from Taylor Texas. He has been singing since he was 7 years old. Jacob grew up in Coupland Texas which is a small country town outside of Taylor. He grew up listening to country music because of his Dad, Tejano, cumbia, and soul because of his mom, and throughout school, he picked up rock and roll, blues, and hip hop along with a collection of other styles he experiments with. Gospel, Funk, jazz, folk, reggae, and many others.

Jacob has performed at SXSW, multiple festivals around central texas, Dookie Blues open Mic TV, and hosted singer-songwriter nights at The Gotham room in Austin. Jacob has a full band that joins him when they can, called Damocien. We cover anything you can think of. Jacob considers himself ‘soulful edgy rock’.

Jacob is a father of 5 children. 4 daughters and 1 son. They love music and he hopes one day they pick up where he leaves off. They inspire Jacob to write great music and to be a better person in general.
